Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept Insurance? What is Cash-Based Physical Therapy?
We are “out-of network” with all insurance companies. This means that we accept payment directly from our clients for their treatment. We can provide an invoice for treatment, and many clients are able to submit that to their insurance company to get a percentage of the cost paid back to them.
Why Out of Network / Cash Based Care?
The Short Answer: Because this model allows us to provide the best possible care.
The Long Answer: Insurance based care can create a number of barriers to providing you with the best possible care.
Timely Care: Your care can be unnecessarily delayed or cut short by insurance denials halting your progress.
Accountability: In Cash Based Care, we are accountable only to YOU, not to an insurance company. This means you get to decide what goals are worth pursuing, not your insurance company. You decide if you are happy with your results, and if you should keep going, not your insurance company.
Innovation: Insurance is often slow to adapt to new and evidence based treatments. There may be ways to help you that don’t fit into a typical insurance based treatment model. For example, we provide a secure way to message your physical therapist about your plan of care. You can include questions or even video of you performing an activity or exercise, which your therapist can then reply to with a video of their own. You don’t have to wait for your next appointment.
Is Out-of-Network/ Cash Based Physical Therapy more expensive?
It depends. If you have great insurance (low deductible, low copay), then it may cost more per session. If you have a high deductible plan, or a high copay, then it may be the same cost or even cheaper. It also depends on what rate your insurance company reimburses “out-of-network” care.
There is also often a difference in time: Many clinics will book 2 or 3 patients in an hour, and you may spend some of that time with someone with less training than a physical therapist.
We never double book. 100% of your time is spent with the full attention of a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We don’t use that time for any treatments that you can perform just as well on your own, like ice, heat, or electrical stimulation.
Sounds great! Where do I sign up?
Click here to schedule an initial evaluation. You will fill out a questionnaire so your physical therapist can get to know you, and can spend less time in the evaluation gathering information, and more time helping you.
I’m not sure if this is for me…
No problem! It is important that you make well informed decisions about your health. Feel free to schedule a free consultation. No pressure. No sales tactics. Just an open and honest conversation about you and your health, and the opportunity for you to ask questions.

How are you handling COVID-19?
Brycen is fully vaccinated and boosted (Moderna x3). He wears a KN-95 mask at all times during in person appointments, and thoroughly sanitizes all equipment between sessions. We also offer virtual appointments to reduce risk.
